Peter John Dodsworth

Peter trained at the Royal Academy of Music London as a Bassoonist and Piano Accompanist; he also worked along side the Musical Theatre Department.

Peter is part of London Theatre Workshop where he is the Outreach Coordinator.  He has most recently been involved with LTW’s production of ‘Through The Mill’ by Artistic Director of LTW Ray Rackham (also directed by Ray) as Associate Musical Supervisor for their recent run at The Southwark Playhouse.

Since leaving he has performed internationally as a Bassoon Soloist and Piano Accompanist and is a sought after chamber musician. He has also worked prolifically in Theatre as Music Director and Musical Supervision, Director and Producer.

He is the founder of How To Sing LTD which owns an independent record label as well as teaching voice workshops to the corporate and professional voice sectors.

He works also as the Creative Director of Berkhamsted Theatre Company; a leading Amateur Dramatics society and is Artistic Director of the Dodsworth Show Choirs.

He is part of several companies which work alongside both professional and amateur theatre leading exciting outreach community programmes offering theatrical workshops.

He has held several teaching positions in educational establishments and conservatoires. His past and present students are represented in a great deal of professional shows in the West End and internationally and his alumni are represented in almost every Drama School in the UK. He now devotes his teaching time completely to his private teaching practice and regularly leads masterclasses in voice and singing.
